HCM CITY (VNS) — A press photography contest in the reportage category titled Viet Nam – Dat Nuoc, Con Nguoi (Viet Nam – The Country and People) has been launched in HCM City.

The contest is jointly organised by the Viet Nam Artistic Photographers' Association and Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper, aiming to reflect the country's politics, economy, culture and society.

Its themes include news events, the daily life of people across the country, traditional handicraft villages, ethnic minorities' customs, environmental protection activities, tangible and intangible cultural heritages, islands and sea.

The jury consists of veteran photographers and journalists from the association and the newspaper.

Vietnamese photographers and expatriate photographers are invited to participate in the contest.
