for the restoration, repairs and preservation of two ancient houses in
Hoi An city.
DA NANG (VNS)— The central Quang Nam Province has allocated VND2.8 billion (US$133,000) for the restoration, repairs and preservation of two ancient houses in Hoi An city.
The fund will address repairs and preserve the two ruined houses on Nguyen Thai Hoc street until 2016.
Hoi An ancient town, which is one of two UNESCO-recorgnised world heritage sites, has over 1,000 houses between 100 and 200 years old.
Hoi An was included on a list of the top ten Asian cities decided by the US magazine Conde Nast Traveler's Readers Choice Awards last year. — VNS
