HA NOI (VNS) — Viet Nam's Pham Dang Quang won a silver medal at the second WTF World Cadet Taekwondo Championships which closed in Muju, South Korea, yesterday.
Quang lost 5-21 to host martial artist Lee Gi-Yeong in the final of the boys' U49kg category.
To reach the final, he overcame Mexican Elian Lopez 6-1, Ruslan Seyidov of Azebaizan 17-4, Ibrahim Maher of Jordan 16-7 and Jose Bellido Martin of Spain 7-1.
Viet Nam sent six athletes to the event which ran from August 23-26. — VNS
