Viet Nam's Tran Tuan Quynh was knocked out of the Asian Table Tennis Championships after ranking 14th out of 15 participants.

World No 270 Quynh was the sole Vietnamese player at the tourney in China. He beat Alamian Nima of Iran in the qualifying round before losing to Achanta Sharath Kamal of India.

China's Xu Xin won the tournament on the men's side while teammate Liu Shiwen took the women's title.— VNS
