The Hue Centre for Monuments Conservation has opened the royal garden of the Nguyen Dynasty - Co Ha, to the public.

Located in the Hue Citadel, the garden hosts over 400 rare bonsais produced by 49 artisans from the central province of Thua Thien - Hue. On the first day, the garden welcomed hundreds of visitors. Earlier, the Co Ha royal garden was opened for public viewing during the 2012 Hue Festival.

Under the Nguyen Dynasty (1802 - 1945), there were more than 30 royal gardens in the ancient capital city of Hue. Co Ha is said to be one the five most beautiful royal gardens in the Imperial Citadel. It was built in 1837 during the reign of Minh Mang and replenished with more flora during the reigns of Thieu Tri and Tu Duc.-VNS
