a prestigious journalism gong for her work covering HIV/AIDS prevention
and control.
HA NOI (VNS)-- An AIDS and Community magazine reporter has scooped a prestigious journalism gong for her work covering HIV/AIDS prevention and control.
Ninh Quynh Huong was one of the winners of the HIV/AIDS writing contest and came out on top through the strength of her article Lovely Signs +.
Prizes also went to Nguyen Lai Thin and Nguyen Huy Chuong of Voice of Viet Nam (VOV), Le Thi Tuyet Mai and Duong Viet Phuong of Quang Binh Television and Radio, plus Dinh Thi Thu Trang, another reporter of VOV.
The Viet Nam News Agency won two second prizes for a report on the jobs of HIV carriers and a poignant photo essay.
The contest attracted nearly 600 entries in various formats including printed newspaper, online news, radio, television and photo essays.
A total of 28 prizes were announced yesterday in Ha Noi.
"The annual contest has contributed effectively to raising awareness on the disease and praising the HIV carriers who struggle with the disease while living good lives," said Tran Ba Dung, president of the Vietnamese Journalists Club on HIV/AIDS. VNS
