HA NOI — Nhat Ky Trong Tu (Diary in Prison) poetry, written by President Ho Chi Minh, are on display in South Korea as calligraphic works.

The exhibition opened at the Suncheon National University Museum in South Jeolla Province on Monday to celebrate the president's 122nd birthday and 20 years since the day Viet Nam and South Korea set up diplomatic relations.

Through 45 calligraphic works by 23 Korean artists, local students and people will have the chance to learn more about President Ho, a great leader and World Cultural Celebrity, said Song Yeong-mo, principal of the university.

Nhat Ky Trong Tu was translated into Korean for the first time in 2003. Scholars spent much time researching Ho Chi Minh and translating documents about him, said Tran Trong Toan, Vietnamese ambassador to South Korea.

The exhibition once again proves South Korean concern and respect for the president, he said.

When the exhibition finishes on April 25, the artworks will be displayed at the South Korean Cultural Centres in Ha Noi and HCM City. — VNS
