HA NOI (VNS) — A new exhibition in Ha Noi offers a glimpse into the world of South Korean contemporary art.
Rieng Ma Chung (Separate but Connected) features 25 pieces by 30-year-old Korean artists Baek Jin and Pae Sung-hee, leaders in the fields of ceramics and sketches.
While the artists use different materials, they share an affinity for the colour white. Baek crafts pieces from traditional South Korean white ceramic, while Pae sketches Korean houses and apartment buildings on a white background.
Park Nark-jong, director of the Korean Cultural Centre, said the show aimed to teach visitors about the contemporary art of South Korea.
