The 15th Sai Gon Cyclo Challenge held in Celadon City, Tan Phu District,
last Sunday raised more than US$31,000 for activities and programmes to
help educate disadvantaged children and give them a start in life.
HCM CITY (VNS)— The 15th Sai Gon Cyclo Challenge held in Celadon City, Tan Phu District, last Sunday raised more than US$31,000 for activities and programmes to help educate disadvantaged children and give them a start in life.
Twelve teams entered this year – Caravelle Sai Gon, Celadon City, Crown Relocations, Giant, Hitachi Asia Viet Nam, Hoang Long - Hoan Vu, Murphy Oil, Pizza Hut, Hard Rock Cafe, HSBC, Schindler, and YAN Group.
After more than three hours of racing, team challenges and hard competition, Pizza Hut overtook valiant Crown almost at the finish to become the champion.
Caravelle Sai Gon won the creative cyclo decoration competition with its signature purple colour and elegant style.
The event also set a fun Guinness world record for the most number of people (15) sitting on a cyclo.
More than 1,000 participants and spectators came to enjoy entertainment including cyclo racing, cheerleading, team challenges, live music, a raffle and free food and drinks. — VNS
