HCM CITY (VNS)  — Mosaic of Century, a concert featuring works of Maurice Ravel, Zoltan Kodaly, Zoe Martlew, and Dmitri Shostakovich, on August 2 will open the 2014 Saigon Chamber Music festival.

It will be followed at the eight-day festival by performances by Vietnamese-British pianist Tra Nguyen, UK celllist Zoe Martlew and concert master of the Norwegian Radio Orchestra and violinist Atle Sponberg. They will also lecture and hold master classes on chamber music for students and young musicians.

The festival will end with performances by young participants after a week-long training class.

All the events will be held at the HCM City Conservatory of Music, 112 Nguyen Du Street, District 1.
