HCM CITY  (VNS) — Saigon Reggae Festival, a 10-hour event of reggae music, visual arts, dance and culinary treats, will open at Cargo Bar on Saturday.

The music programme will showcase 12 international DJs, MCs and bands including King Cargo, Dubwise, Dan Lo, Jase Nguyen and Mekong Delta Force. Saigon Dub Station will also have an LED light performance.

A live painting contest titled One Love is scheduled for city-based young artists, and a pop-up art exhibition will display 40 works by local and foreign artists.

An international food street will present dishes from international cuisine like jerk chicken from Jamaica, pancakes from the Netherlands as well as a variety of salads, cakes and cookies.

The festival takes place from 6pm to 4am at 7 Nguyen Tat Thanh Street in District 4. — VNS
