HCM CITY (VNS)  — Nguyen Hoang Sang of ADC Vinh Long Television achieved a third stage win at the HCM City Television Cycling Tournament yesterday.

Sang spent 3 hours 13 minutes and 22 seconds to finish the 139km stage from Thanh Hoa City to Vinh City.

Nguyen Quoc Dinh of Ben Tre and Pham Phat Dat of Mathnasium-HCM City came in second and third, respectively.

Finishing in the leading group, Nguyen Vu Linh of Domesco Dong Thap stole the yellow jersey with a total time of 7 hours, 30 minutes and 56 seconds.

Dinh's second place yesterday pushed him to the second position in the overall rankings. Quang Van Cuong of Dong Da Ha Noi came in third.

Linh also led the green jersey race with 31 points. Minh and Trinh Duc Tam of ADC Vinh Long Television were close behind.

Gao Hat Ngoc Troi An Giang maintained his position as the tour leader, with a timing of 22 hours, 35 minutes and 41 seconds after three stages. Domesco Dong Thap and Military Zone 7 came in second and third, respectively.

Today, the cyclists will compete in the 20-lap fourth round that is 54 km long around Ho Chi Minh Square in Vinh City. — VNS
