Vietnamese shooting team made history by entering the Asian Top 10 in the last ranking of 2012.

The shooters made impressive achievements at the Asian Airgun Championships last month in Nanchang, China, where they pocketed one gold, one silver and four bronze medals.

Earlier in the year, shooter Hoang Xuan Vinh placed fourth in the men's 50m pistol event in London.

Another Southeast Asian country to enter the top ten was Thailand, which placed eighth.

South Korean shooters also had a successful season. With three champion titles at the London Olympics, they ranked first, followed by China and India.-VNS
