HA NOI (VNS) — The Movenpick Hotel Ha Noi hosted a silent auction of 23 items yesterday, raising more than US$31,000 for Heartbeat Vietnam.
The auctioned items included two big paintings: Old Man with His Daily Life ($3,000) and Afternoon Market ($2,000) by painter Dinh Huu Viet.
Heartbeat Vietnam, a programme of the Vinacapital Foundation, has funded the lifesaving surgeries of over 3,800 children with congenital heart defects since 2006. — VNS
