HA NOI (VNS)— Singer Ho Quynh Huong was named Asia's sexiest female vegetarian celebrity by the Asia-Pacific branch of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).
Chinese actor and singer Chen Kun was crowned Asia's sexiest male vegetarian.
Born in 1980, Huong has won HCM City's Lan Song Xanh (Blue Wave) award for Favourite Singer for four times in a row. Huong has been a vegetarian and practised yoga for a long time, and says these lifestyle choices have helped her succeed in the showbiz industry.
"Since I adopted a vegetarian diet, my weight is kept under control without any extra fat," says Huong. "My skin is also better. My professional make-up artist also comments that my skin brightens up easily with just a soft layer of make-up."
"There's no easier way to put passion in your life than to put compassion in your diet," says PETA Asia Vice President Jason Baker. "Huong knows that going vegetarian is the best thing that you can do for animals, the Earth and your health. Plus, she's living proof that being vegetarian keeps you slim and sexy."
