HA NOI (VNS) — Singer Giang Trang is holding her concert entitled Ha Huyen 2 (Dark Moon 2) at Ha Noi's French Institute next Saturday, following her successful Ha Huyen concert in 2012.
In her new concert, Giang Trang and other musicians will play music composed by Trinh Cong Son, a famous Vietnamese composer who was deeply influenced by Western music and created "sad melodies of yellow skin".
The audience will witness the combined playing of a 16-string zither, a piano and a flute. This show is an invitation to the public to explore a different path that leads to the sources of Trinh Cong Son's music, in lighter and more whimsical tones.
Unlike the first concert that involved personal emotions, Ha Huyen 2 showcases a person who has found inner peace, but keeps looking towards the outside world.
Born in Ha Noi, Giang Trang graduated from the city's Foreign Trade University in 2003. She is known nationwide for her pure, beautiful and melancholic voice and her songs composed by Trinh Cong Son.
Tickets for Trang's previous concert Ha Huyen were sold out 10 days before the show.
The concert at the French Institute, located at 24, Trang Tien Street in Ha Noi, will be held on March 7 at 8pm. — VNS
