HA NOI (VNS)—Captain Nguyen Bao Quan scored an equaliser in the last minute of regular time to salvage a 2-2 draw for the Vietnamese representative side at the Asian Football Confederation Club Futsal Championship in Japan.
In the opening Group A match at the Ocean Arena Stadium, Nagoya, Chinese champions Shenzhen Nanling took a commanding 2-0 lead.
Iranian Daneshwar Masoud put Shenzhen ahead 17 minutes into the first half and Brazilian Danilo Moura extended the lead two minutes into the second half.
Thai Son Nam's new Spanish signing Rodriguez Cruz then notched a vital strike in the 36th minute to reduce the gap to one goal.
Then, just before the final whistle, Quan found space to smash home the equaliser and salvaged an important point for Viet Nam.-VNS
