HA NOI (VNS) — There is a plan to convert the historical Soc Temple monument complex in Phu Linh Commune in Ha Noi's Soc Son District into a cultural tourism site.
According to the plan by the Ha Noi Department of Planning and Architecture released on Tuesday, the 31.5ha tourist site will have libraries, showrooms, hotels and resorts.
Located in a vast mountainous area, the Soc Temple relic complex has Soc Temple of Saint Giong, one of four Vietnamese immortals; the Mau (Mother) Temple for worshiping Saint Giong's mother; and Saint Giong's Statue.
Tourists can wallow in a peaceful atmosphere of verdant trees and plants, golden bamboos and ancient and sanctuary temples and under the canopies of centuries-old trees there.
The cultural site, along with the Viet Nam Buddhism Institute and Non (Mountain) Pagoda, will also give visitors an exposure to folk culture. It is scheduled to be ready by 2020. — VNS
