HA NOI (VNS) — The South Korean women's national football team beat the Vietnamese national team 5-0 in a friendly match in South Korea yesterday.
Asserting their dominance based on strength and tactics, World No 18 South Korea scored goals in the fifth, 15th, 35th, 77th and 86th minutes of the match.
Despite losing, the Chinese coach of the hosts Chen Yun Fat said that this match was a chance for Viet Nam, World No 28, to hone their skills before competing in the final round of the upcoming Asian Cup 2014.
During the training session in South Korea, the visitors lost to Hyundai Steel 2-1 on May 4.
As planned, the team returned home today in preparation for the Asian event, which will kick off on May 14. — VNS
