The southernmost province of Ca Mau plans to invest some VND3 trillion (US$143.5 million) to turn Hon Khoai (Khoai Island) into an eco-tourism site.
A 20km bridge linking the island with the mainland will be built at a cost of more than VND1 trillion, besides restaurants, hotels, and entertainment centres.
Provincial authorities are considering investors for the project, hoping to start work by the end of this year.
