Seven volleyball teams from southern provinces will compete in Ben Tre today for the Sanatech Cup 2013.

According to the event's organising board, each side will be permitted to include two foreign players. They will play in round robin format.

This is an annual event as southern teams prepare for the national volleyball tournament beginning in August and the second round of the PV Oil Cup in October.

In other volleyball news, Long An took the men's title at the National Youth Volleyball Tournament ended in Hau Giang on Thursday.

Ninh Binh and Military Zone 9 finished in second and third place, respectively.

In the women's competition, VTV Binh Dien Long An came first, while Lienvietpostbank and Vinh Long were the runners-up.-VNS
