Speed daters aim to break record

At least 600 young single people aged 18 years old and up will gather at the "Paktor Speed Date Night" to break the world's current Guinness World Records for the largest speed dating event.

HCM CITY (VNS)— At least 600 young single people aged 18 years old and up will gather at the "Paktor Speed Date Night" to break the world's current Guinness World Records for the largest speed dating event.

Organised at a bar in District 4 in HCM City on November 30, the event will offer young people a chance to date 15 popular celebrities.

Each of these celebrities will join one of 15 dating groups of 40 people each and will have 20 dates with other participants.

When the speed dating sessions ends, participants will then mingle and enjoy a night of music performed by international artists. Live music will be played by a Cuban band and a few Vietnamese DJs.

The speed dating process will be witnessed, verified and recorded immediately by a Guinness World Records adjudicator at the event.

The attempt is to break the record for the largest speed dating event, which included 464 participants held in New Zealand last year. — VNS
