HUE — The nha nhac (court music) orchestra of students from the Hue Conservatory of Music impressed audiences during their debut show on Saturday at the former royal citadel of Hue.

Gathering more than 20 students from the music conservatory's Heritage Music Department, the orchestra has staged 12 repertoires, which used to be performed for special occasions of the royal court during the Nguyen dynasty (1802-1945).

After the debut show, the orchestra will offer visitors and music fans a free concert every Saturday, from 5-6pm, at Nghinh Luong Temple on Le Duan Street. — VNS
