QUANG BINH — A class on the traditional music of the Bru-Van Kieu ethnic minority group began on Tuesday at a secondary school in a mountainous district of the central province of Quang Binh.
Six artisans will teach as many as 26 pupils at Truong Son Secondary Boarding School in Quang Ninh District to play folk songs on traditional instruments. The students will also learn dances traditionally performed at festivals, rituals and weddings.
The class aims to restore lost traditional festivals to attract more travelers, said Le The Luc, director of the tourism development project in Quang Binh. — VNS
