HCM CITY (VNS)—The Viet Nam Drift 1 Workshop will start its programme of activities with a stunt show at the opening ceremony of the Vietnam Motorbike Festival at the Crescent Residence, in Phu My Hung, HCM City on Sunday.

Drifting is a driving technique where the driver intentionally or unintentionally oversteers, causing a loss of traction in the rear wheel, while maintaining control from the entry to the exit of a corner.

On the day, three motorbike teams from Thailand, China and Malaysia will also perform a gymkhana stunt show. This will feature obstacles such as cones, tires and barrels. The driver must manoeuvre through a predetermined "track", performing many different driving techniques such as wheelies, burn-outs and drifting in an artistic way. — VNS
