DA NANG (VNS) — Summer Destination Week will kick off in the Son Tra Peninsula with food courts, sand painting and paragliding. It'll last from June 26 to July 1.
The city's tourism promotion centre said the week would include various entertainment events, art performances, photo exhibitions, sport competitions and recreational events for tourists.
The main events will take place at the city's East Sea Park on My Khe Beach.
As scheduled, 30 teams of chefs from central provinces and cities will compete in an outdoor cooking competition.
People can enter competitions for BMX, skateboarding, Patin and Parkour, bartending and fun games during the week-long event.
The national beach football championship and National Youth Cycling Tournament will take place then, as well as opportunities for water skiing and kayaking.
According to the centre, the Colour Me Run and a music festival will be held at the city's Asia Park with colourful powder being thrown about during the 5km race on June 27. A motorcycle parade will also wind through the city's main streets on June 30, showing off 250 motorcycles including new and vintage Ducatis, Harley Davisons, Triumphs, Hondas and Yahamas. — VNS
