HA NOI (VNS) — The Asia-Pacific Veteran Table Tennis Championships will be held from December 3 to 6 at HCM City's Phu Tho Gymnasium.
About 900 players from 19 countries and territories will participate in the ninth edition of the championships.
The highlight of the event will be the presence of former world champion Guo Yue Hwa of China.
Viet Nam will send its best veteran players, such as former Southeast Asian Games winner Vu Manh Cuong and former Asian Games team gold medallist Le Van Tiet.
The players will compete in men's and women's singles and team events, divided into different age groups, ranging from 40 to above 80.
The annual event aimed to give seasoned players a platform to compete, after having dedicated their lives to the sport for years, the organisers said. — VNS
