The HCM City-based Books Distribution Corp (Fahasa)
yesterday kicked off an exhibition of children''s books "Merry Christmas
and Happy New Year with Friends and Books" at three bookshops in HCM
City.
Artists from the Tuoi Tre (Youth) Theatre in Ha Noi will stage the play
De Men Phieu Luu Ky (The Adventures of a Cricket) to entertain the
children and young audiences this Sunday on the occasion of
International Children''s Day (June 1).
Phuong Nam Book publishers will republish noted
writer To Hoai''s colossal works of literature by July next year to mark
his death on Sunday at the age of 94.
The author of the well-known children''s tale, Adventures of a Cricket, To Hoai, yesterday passed away in Ha Noi at age 94, according to the Viet Nam Writers'' Association.
Many illustrative paintings depicting scenes from
the beloved children''s tale De Men Phieu Luu Ky (Adventures of a
Cricket), written by To Hoai, are currently on display at the Ha Noi
Writers Association to celebrate 70 years since the book''s release.
