Ha Noi is a place that inspires Joshua Kopecek, a musician from the
United Kingdom. After living in the capital city for several years, he
realised that the unique characteristic of the place is its sounds.
Electronics musician Luong Hue Trinh will team up tonight with dan tranh (16-chord zither) artist Nguyen Thuy Dung and award-winning violinist Dao Van Trung to present a re-working of cai luong (reformed opera).
New work by local artists will be presented at an exhibit that opens to the public tonight in Ha Noi.Entitled
Living Jewel, the exhibit includes artist Le Huy Hoang''s latest
installation Rain, made from cabbage sprouts, acupuncture needles and
nylon threads.
