The number of tourists booking tours during Tet
(Lunar New Year), which falls on February 19 this year, has increased
from last year because of the long nine-day holiday this time, according
to travel companies.
A freshman from Ha Noi-based Foreign Trade University was crowned Miss
Viet Nam 2014 during the finale on Saturday night held in Phu Quoc
Island, Kien Giang Province.
Duong Quoc Trung, a third-year student of Ha Noi-based British
University, won first prize in a writing contest organised by the
Peruvian Embassy and the Ministry of Education and Training.
Five students from Ha Noi–based M.V Lomonosov Secondary School have been
awarded top prize at the 8th Kids Witness News Viet Nam contest for
their movie The Most Important Thing.
"Ha Noi''s Days and Nights in 1972," an exhibit of
photos of Ha Noi taken during the 1972 US B52 aerial bombardment of the
city, will open tonight at the French Cultural Centre.
