Singing groups from across the country will gather
to celebrate the fifth National Festival of the Traditional Then Singing
of Tay, Nung and Thai ethnic groups, which will take place in the
northern province of Tuyen Quang from September 24 to 26.
A collection of brocade products made by ethnic
minorities in the far northern mountainous province of Cao Bang will be
sold at the Traditional Handicraft Bazaar this weekend in HCM City.
The fourth national then singing festival is being
held in Lang Son Province as part of the country''s efforts to honour and
preserve the traditional art of the Tay, Nung and Thai ethnic groups in
north-western Viet Nam.
Cultural authorities of the northwestern province of
Tuyen Quang are completing a profile on hat then (then singing) to
submit to UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage.
