Unlike the common images of a bustling daytime Hà Nội, more peaceful nighttime images of the capital city by French photographer Sebastien Laval have been on display.
A photo contest will be launched by the Hà Nội Association of Photographic Artists in co-ordination with the Việt Nam Association of Photographic Artists (VAPA).
A collection of 30 photographs of Hà Nội and Huế at night will go on display in the capital from April 14 to 23 and the central city from April 29 to May 4.
A photo collection featuring a festival in the northern province of
Vinh Phuc by veteran photographer Pham Anh received the Special Award
for Photo Collection – the highest prize of the Heritage Photo Awards.
A photo exhibition entitled "Viet Nam-Cuba, 55 years of solidarity and
cooperation" was launched at the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) headquarters,
5 Ly Thuong Kiet Street, Ha Noi yesterday.
The first prize for the single photo category in the Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards 2015 went to Dem hoa dang (Lantern Night at the Japanese-Covered Bridge) by Le Trong Khang.
A performance by Police Music Band from Singapore at
the 20th World Police Band Concert held in downtown HCM City on
Saturday. The two-day event featured police bands from Japan, the US,
Singapore and Viet Nam.
Five Vietnamese photographers won regional and special mention prizes
at the 2015 Consultative Group to Assist the Poor photo contest,
according to results reported on the website www.cgap.org.
