The Thanh Hoa Province Department of Culture, Sports
and Tourism has launched its first waterway tours on the Ma River.
Tourists can enjoy landscapes along the river banks and visit historic
sites.
Local people have accidentally unearthed nearly 100 age-old cannon
balls recently at a site located 3km away from the world-heritage Ho
Dynasty Citadel, Vinh Loc district, central Thanh Hoa province.
A group of eight motorcyclists from Australia plus
several from other countries will join a 200km journey in Russian-made
Ural sidecars from Ha Noi to Pu Luong nature reserve in Thanh Hoa
Province on September 28.
People residing in the vicinity of the Citadel of
the Ho dynasty in Thanh Hoa Province will be given cameras and taught
photographic and filmmaking skills to their own images depicting
life around the World Heritage site.
The beach town of Sam Son in Thanh Hoa Province has
announced its targets for the coming summer tourism season: 2.7 million
visitors and a turnover of VND1.5 trillion (US$71.4 million), up 10 per
cent and 20 per cent, respectively, over last year.
