Leading Vietnamese singers will perform in a show at
the HCM City Music Conservatory this weekend to commemorate the 20th
anniversary of the death of Van Cao, one of the country''s greatest
contemporary composers.
Meritorious Artist Thanh Thuy of the Military Zone 7 Art Troupe, one of
the most popular singers of traditional and revolutionary music, will
perform live in HCM City on May 2 for the Reunification Day
celebrations.

who you are. Don''t give up. You are d for greatness," Nick Vujicic
told an audience of 500 disadvantaged children in a speech given on
Sunday.
Vietnamese Vu Thi Trang and Malaysia''s Chi Wing Lim
won the women''s and men''s badminton singles titles at the Kawasaki-Biere
Larue Viet Nam International Series.
A lack of puppeteers is threatening the survival of traditional
puppetry, according to the chairman of Viet Nam Theatre Artists''
Association, Le Tien Tho.
The band The Six Tones, including two Vietnamese traditional instrument
players Nguyen Thanh Thuy, Ngo Tra My and Swedish guitarist Stefan
Ostersjo, will join string players from the Seattle Symphony Orchestra
in a concert later this month.
In a rare showing, the winners of Voice Kids Viet
Nam 2013, Nguyen Quang Anh and Phuong My Chi, defeated older singers to
win the Mai Vang (Golden Ochna) Awards.
