The Viet Nam Book of Records has recognised a
collection of gold objects belonging to the Oc Eo – Go Thap culture as
the largest of its kind in the country.
The Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap has suggested
to the Government that a collection of golden objects belonging to the
Oc Eo-Go Thap culture be recognised as nationally precious, according to
the provincial People''s Committee.
HCM City''s Museum of History has lent New York City''s Metropolitan
Museum of Art 20 objects to display under an agreement between the
Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the American museum.
