Vietnamese disabled swimmer Võ Thanh Tùng brought home a gold medal at the 2016 IPC Swimming European Open Championships which wrapped up in Funchal, on the island of Madeira, Portugal on Saturday.
Vietnamese swimmer Vo Thanh Tung won his fifth straight gold medal in
the ongoing Para Games in Incheon, South Korea yesterday, putting him in
the running for the best athlete award.
Powerlifter Nguyen Binh An claimed gold in the men''s 54kg category and
broke the Asian record yesterday at the ongoing Asian Para-Games in
Incheon, South Korea.
Despite a great effort, Vo Thanh Tung failed to
claim a medal in the final round of the men''s 50m backstroke event at
the ongoing London Paralympics yesterday morning.
Vo Thanh Tung will be the first Vietnamese athlete competing at the London Paralympics today. Tung will take part in the men''s 50m freestyle-S5, one of four events he hopes to claim a medal in at the London Games.
