More than 7,000 people with disabilities in HCM City and neighbouring
provinces will take part in the 2015 Camp for Disabled People in HCM
City on Sunday.
Disabled Vietnamese weightlifter Le Van Cong will receive VND10 million
(US$476) per month from his sponsor, the Viet Nam Institute for
Biomedical Physics, for 20 months from January this year.

concerned agencies are organising the first-ever dance and music
contest for the disabled in the country.
Huynh Thanh Thao of Cu Chi District, HCM City, who has congenital
brittle bone disease, was astonished to see a Youtube clip of a person
in a wheelchair dancing together with a non-disabled partner.
Central Quang Tri is home to about 80 per cent of the country''s
physically disabled people, but its sports programme has been a "magical
wand" changing the lives of those with disabilities for the better and
creating a few champions in the process.
A cultural event promoting disabled people''s rights
to love and sexual activities will be held this Saturday in response to
World Sexual Health Day on September 4.
