The 10th HCM City Tourism Fair themed "Ten years of growth and
development" will be held from March 27 to 30 at the 23 September Park
in District 1. The aim of the fair is to promote the domestic travel
industry.
Numerous tourism promotions were announced at the 2013 Tourism Day held
at the September 23 Park last week by the HCM City Department of
Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Following Tet last month many travel firms in HCM City are offering
steep discounts to attract domestic tourists, especially those touring
by air to the central and northern regions.
An exhibition that examines domestic violence
opened on Tuesday in Ha Noi, with art on show reflecting the struggles
of abused women from all over the country.
Vietnam Airlines and the HCM City Tourism
Association have announced that prices would fall again this year in
order to stimulate demand, according to Thoi Bao Kinh Te Sai Gon (Sai
Gon Economic Times) magazine.
Private film producers in HCM City are working hard
to release new productions for the festive season during Tet (Lunar New
Year), creating a stiff competition in domestic market.
