The Viet Nam Museum of Ethnology on Saturday debuted an exhibition of
Indonesian glass paintings donated by Rosalia Sciortino of Italy, and
her late Indonesian husband, O''ong Mariono.
An old family with connections to the last Vietnamese dynasty yesterday
donated precious documents on Viet Nam''s sovereignty over the sea and
islands to the State.
Of three collections the new Southeast Asian Museum (SAM) will display
next year, 60 Indonesian glass paintings were donated by Italian Dr
Rosalia Sciortino and her Indonesian husband, O''ong Mariono.
Historical researcher Hasuda Takashi from Japan''s Niigata University has
donated copies of four rare ancient documents to the central province
of Ha Tinh''s Provincial Museum.
