More than 60 foreign and Vietnamese guitarists will play at the 3rd International Guitar Festival organised by the HCM City Music Conservatory on Wednesday.
Australian musician Floyd Thursby and his guitar will be performing on
Saturday night at Hanoi Social Club, featuring his uniquely evocative
folk and country songs with striking lyrics and strong melodies.
Viet Nam International Finger-Style Guitar Festival
2015 will be held for the first time in Ha Noi on Friday. The event has
been co-held by Viet Nam Fingerstyle Guitar Organisation (VFGO) and
Taiwanese Wind Strings Entertainment.
The Saigon International Guitar Festival, featuring acclaimed foreign
artists and educators, may be the year''s most important event for
classical guitarists in Viet Nam.
The string trio Samir Barris from Belgium will hold three concerts in Ha
Noi, Hue and HCM City in March to celebrate the International
Francophonie Day on March 20.
Tran Tuan An, an outstanding Vietnamese guitar student from North Park
University, Chicago, USA, will perform a one-night show at the French
Cultural Centre (L''Espace), Ha Noi, next Saturday.
Vietnamese guitarist Tran Tuan An has been bestowed the most outstanding student at the 39th annual ceremony to honour Student Laureates of the Lincoln Academy of Illinois.
