Viet Nam celebrates around 8,000 festivals every year. Culture ministry officials say they are attempting to ensure that these
festivals are not overly commercialised and continue to reflect the true
values of Vietnamese culture.
Saigontourist has launched a special savings programme to celebrate the
Vietnamese Teachers'' Day (November 20) and is encouraging visitors to
register soon for inbound and outbound trips for upcoming holidays
including Christmas, New Year and Tet (Lunar New Year) 2014.
Well-known Vietnamese films from a range of genres will be screened
nationwide from April 27 to May 20 to celebrate the nation''s upcoming
holidays, following a recent decision by the Ministry of Culture, Sports
and Tourism.
Eleven more train trips have been arranged between HCM City and the
central city of Nha Trang during the holidays next month to accommodate
an additional 7,000 passengers.
