Terraced fields in the northern province of Lao Cai
look like beautiful paintings as they glisten under the sunshine,
attracting many tourists, especially photographers.
Buckwheat flowers in the northern mountainous provinces have begun to
bloom along terraced fields, roads and in villages. The small,
light-pink flowers turn to a light purple colour several days after
blooming, resembling a vast pink painting.
A culture, sports and tourism week will be held in the northern
mountainous province of Yen Bai from September 26-29, honouring the
scenic Mu Cang Chai terraced fields.
The northeastern province of Ha Giang lures tourists
from all over with its steep rock ascents hidden in blankets of clouds.
In spring and autumn, buckwheat flowers bloom all over the valleys
within the karst plateau.
