Viet Nam Museum of Ethnology has received a set of elephant hunting
tools from the family of a so-called "Elephant King" in Tay Nguyen
(Central Highlands) province of Dak Lak.
Findings from two recent excavations in central Thanh Hoa Province show
the development of stone tools by early cave dwellers and their
adaptation to climate change, according to scientists.
Traces of prehistoric man have been found at the Na Mo Cave in the northern province of Bac Kan. Members
of the Viet Nam Archaeological Institute and the Bac Kan Museum have
been excavating the area for possible prehistoric remains since early
June.
