A scientific dossier on 50 masks used in Hue''s ancient art of tuong (classical drama) is being compiled by researchers from the Hue Royal Traditional Arts Theatre.
The title says it all. The A O Show, which translates phonetically as
the Ahhh! Ohhh! Show, is being touted as the first variety performance
of its kind in HCM City.
A performance highlighting some of the best
Vietnamese traditional arts will be performed every Monday morning and
Saturday evening at the Viet Nam Women''s Museum.
The Royal Hue Traditional Arts Theatre has continued
to collect and restore several lost pieces of royal court music since
the form was recognised by UNESCO in 2003 as World Intangible Cultural
Heritage.
Foreign tourists gathered recently at the Sai Gon
