The third annual ‘Chiec Thia Vang'' (Golden Spoon) competition to
identify the country''s best chefs and dishes has been launched by the
Binh Duong Province-based Minh Long I Company and the Business Studies
and Assistance Centre.
After nine regional qualifying rounds of the Chiec Thia Vang (Golden
Spoon) Awards 2014, nearly 250 dishes – both traditional and modern –
have been chosen to be included in the Viet Nam cuisine map, according
to contest organisers.
The second Chiec Thia Vang (Golden Spoon) competition to identify the
country''s best chefs and dishes was launched on Tuesday by Binh
Duong-based Minh Long I Company and the Business Studies and Assistance
Centre.
A team of three chefs from Intercontinental Da Nang
Sun Peninsula Resort won first prize at the Chiec Thia Vang (Golden
Spoon) contest, receiving VND1 billion (US$47,370) in cash and a trophy.
Fifteen outstanding teams of chefs will head to Binh Duong Province''s Minh Sang Plaza to compete in the final round of the Chiec thia vang (Golden Spoon) contest tomorrow.
