A group of Japanese fine-arts specialists has agreed
to continue preserving and restoring Vietnamese silk paintings,
especially those of late painter Nguyen Phan Chanh (1892-1984). The
agreement was signed with the Viet Nam Museum of Fine Arts yesterday.
An exhibition of silk paintings by artist Bui Tien
Tuan has opened at the five-star Furama Resort Da Nang. The 20 silk
paintings by the Hoi An-born painter depict the beauty of women and
landscapes in the central region.
