HA NOI (VNS) — Halfback Dinh Tien Thanh has been banned from playing two matches because of his misbehaviour with referee Tran Trung Hieu and his assistants last week.

The Hai Phong player criticised Hieu who made mistakes leading to the team's 0-2 loss to Quang Nam in the 16th round.

Thanh will also be fined VND5 million.

It is said that the referee team will also face heavy disciplinary measures and may be sidelined for some time. — VNS
