HA NOI (VNS)—National champions Ton That Nhat Tan and Ngo Lan Huong will represent Viet Nam in xiangqi (Chinese chess) at the coming World Mind Games from December 12-18 in Beijing.
Tan, from Da Nang City, edged defending champion Lai Ly Huynh in the National Championships in early March.
Meanwhile, Huong shows fine form as she continues to dominate at local tournaments.
At the previous Games, Nguyen Hoang Lam and Cao Phuong Thanh bagged two silver medals for Viet Nam.
Chess master Le Quang Liem was also invited to compete in the chess event. — VNS
