DA NANG (VNS)—Sixty-four teams will take part in the qualifying round of the National Amateur Futsal Championship, the Sai Gon Beer Cup, in Da Nang City.

The teams will compete in a knock-out format with the two top teams securing a berth in the final to be held in HCM City in September.

The championship, which kicked off in May, has attracted 1,000 amateur teams competing over qualifying rounds in 16 provinces and cities nationwide.

The championship offers a total of VND1.5 billion (US$71,000) in prize money to be distributed accordingly amongst all the teams taking part. — VNS
