HA NOI (VNS) — Viet Nam's top tennis player, Ly Hoang Nam, is hoping to make it into to the world's top 500 ranked players next year.
Earlier this week, Nam jumped 126 places to 933rd in the latest ATP rankings, becoming the first Vietnamese tennis player to enter the ATP's top 1,000.
Nam said he would work on his weak points and hopes to have a good showing at the Futures and Challenge tournaments.
Nam, who won a Wimbledon trophy in the boys' doubles, will compete in the Futures event in Germany or Greece next month. — VNS
